Started at the Coffee Shop (part 2)

Scdawg looked at me, "You alright?" she asked as she held Snickers flipper, "It was only suppose to be us, you and me." Scdawg looked at the chairs at my table, "6 chairs. 3 penguins. I think it'll do." I nodded and we all sat down.

The whole time they were giggling and rubbing their noses together, "You guys up for dessert?" i asked. No answer, they kept giggling. "Scdawg..." Giggling. "Scdawg..." Giggling. "SCDAWG!" Scdawg fell out of her chair and yelled, "WHAT!?!?" I pointed to the pie on the table. Scdawg got up and pushed the pie away, "I think we'll have dessert at my place. Come on Snickers." She linked arms with Snickers. Scdawg looked at me and quietly said, "Cya Cheroes." Then they walked out the kitchen and out the front door.

The next day at work, Scdawg didn't talk to me. She put the orders on the counter instead of reading them to me and sometimes quickly telling me how the customer has a wig that's falling off or weird clothes from a play. We would giggle and i would hand her the order and she would get back to work. But today was different. Around 2:00pm, Snickers walked in the front door of the Coffee Shop. He looked at me and sighed. He walked over to Scdawg who was taking her break on the couch. "Hey Cupcake." he said sweetly as he slipped his hand into her's, "Hey Sweetstuff." Scdawg said smiling at him. Then, i felt guilty for being so mean last night at dinner. She really did like Snickers, and when i had a crush on a boy, she was always there for me. I was gonna' talk with Snickers, tell him i felt left out, and then i talk to Scdawg about it. Perfect plan.

Ya', some perfect plan! In my break i finally pulled Snickers away from Scdawg and we talked privatly in the book room. "Listen Snickers, I've known Scdawg for a long time now... and you're kinda' taking her away from her. I feel left out, like i don't matter, think i could hang out with her tonight? It's our Scdawg and Cheroes Friday Fun Night. We go to the dance club... and..." Snickers put his flipper againt my mouth and said, "Cheroes... Scdawg has told me you can be pushy and annoying. I think I'm more gentle and I'm there for her more than you are. She's mine now, get a new friend or else I'm going to find ya' one." Then, he got up and walked downstairs to Scdawg.

I was alone at the dance club. Some never-kissed-a-girl boys asked me to dance, but i said no. I just sat on the stairs by the DJ and watched everyone have fun. More boys asked me to dance. The DJ kept playing music. More songs were requested. But no Scdawg.

I was still waiting for Scdawg when the dance club was almost gonna' close up for the night. The janitor was out sweeping the floor. The DJ was cleaning up his CD's and records. The little green puffles was asleep on the speaker. Then, Scdawg ran in and stopped when she saw me crying on the stairs by the DJ. "Cheroes..." she said. I got up and put my hand up, "Save it." I ran past her and out the door.

At work the next day, I came in with a bit of tears on my face because i cried for a bit before work. Scdawg tried speaking to me, but i just kept working. Snickers didn't come to the Coffee Shop.

Then i saw a guy walk in the Coffee Shop. Not Snickers. It was a cute guy with spikey brownish black hair, a black sweatshirt on, and black checkered shoes. "Cheroes..." said Scdawg, thinking i was still angry at her, "Who's that guy?" i asked. Scdawg looked at rolled her eyes, "Just Max, he's nice and all but sometimes a show-off." I pushed Scdawg aside and sat down with Max. "Oh hey." he said. I smiled and said, "Hey, I'm Cheroes. I work here, I'm the girl who works behind the counter." Max nodded, he didn't seem to care but somehow i was still... attracted to him. "Cool." Max said calmy. Then we started talking and talking and what do you know, i was his girlfriend in just 10 minutes.
